The Lakeway Elementary PTO conducts a number of major fundraising events each year.  The monies raised help fund or enhance important school programs that might not otherwise be possible.  These funds help support enrichment programs in areas such as music, art, technology, culture, literacy, science, and staff appreciation.  Here are some ways you can get involved:

*  Race to the Finish is our No-Sell Fundraiser and Membership Drive that launches when the school year begins and generally ends in the last week of September.  This is a tax deductible donation drive.  Inquiries can be directed to Rusti Burnett at fundraising@lakewaypto.org.  (Facebook link)

*  Mustang Derby  is our spring fundraiser that is scheduled for May 4, 2012.  The Derby is a "Kentucky Derby" styled event featuring fabulous hats, southern refreshments, and dancing on the lawn.  This is a spectacular event for parents, school staff, and community members to come together and socialize in a relaxed setting while raising funds for our school through an exciting live and silent auction.  Contact Rusti Burnett at fundraising@lakewaypto.org or Valerie Lemak at secretary@lakewaypto.org.   (Facebook link)

Ongoing Mini-Fundraiser Programs

Below are all easy and great ways to help your LWE student on a daily basis while doing your regular shopping.

Randalls Community Bucks

For each $50 in groceries you purchase at Randalls, you'll receive a Community Buck that can be donated to Lakeway Elementary.  Our school will receive $1 for every Community Buck we redeem at Randalls.  This program runs through September 30.  There is a limit of 3 certificates per transaction.  Please turn in all certificates to the collection box located in the front office. You can raise money for our school simply by swiping your Randalls Remarkable card.  Link your card to LWE PTO at www.randalls.com/IFL/Grocery/Good-Neighbor and we'll earn a percentage of your purchases.  Sign up today and start earning money for LWE.   Last year, we received $6315.14 from Randalls. Campbell's Labels

Campbell's Labels for Education is a program that helps schools obtain educational merchandise in exchange for proofs of purchase collected from eligible Campbell brands. You can help by saving and sending in proofs of purchase to your teacher. Box Tops for Education

We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week –- or more. Now turn those shopping trips into easy cash for your school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios®, Hamburger Helper® and Kleenex®, in almost every aisle of the store. Tyson Project A+ Label Program

We've all consumed chicken nuggets at home.  In your grocer's freezer section, look for Tyson Products that display the Tyson Project A+ logo.  The label you save is easily identified by looking for the simple 1, 2, 3 program steps.  Each label is worth 24 cents cash for our school! Target REDcard (Take Charge of Education Program)                                    LWE's Target Number:  110646

 Every time you shop at Target and use your REDcard, you will receive 5% off your purchases.  In addition, Target will donate an amount equal to 1% of your REDcard purchases to Lakeway Elementary.  If you are not interested in having another credit card in your wallet, Target offers a REDcard debit card.  This card works just like your bank debit card, but you can only use it at Target.  All the program benefits remain the same.  Contact Stacie Litowitz at programs@lakewaypto.org for more info.

Dining Out Program

 Earn $$$ for LWE by eating some delicious food and hanging out with your friends at monthly Dining Out Nights at designated restaurants.  A percentage of restaurant sales will be donated to the LWE PTO.  Be on the look out for the monthly flyer.  This month's restaurant is Chili's Bee Cave on Tuesday, September 13, from 3:30-10 p.m.  Homework passes will be given to all students who attend.
