Lakeway PTO News - Week 14
*The PTO Programs Committee is looking for someone to chair the Culture Fair in the spring. If you are interested, please contact Kim Stotts at kim_stotts@lakewaypto.org (608-0028) or Kim McCarthy at kim_mccarthy@lakewaypto.org (261-7726).
*Check out Coach DiCarlo’s new Web site! You’ll find the most up-to-date information about PE curriculum, after-school programs, pictures, and fitness ideas for kids in grades K-5. Go to http://www.laketravis.txed.net/lkwy/teacher/ltisd_home.asp. There’s also a link to Coach DiCarlo’s Web site on the home page of our Web site, www.lakewaypto.org.
*We need some help with Spanish Club. Fifty-five students at LWE are having a great time learning Spanish this fall. They will end the year in December with a Posada Party. We are starting preparations for the spring semester. We are looking for two additional teachers and a chairperson. The chairperson DOES NOT need to speak Spanish, as most of this person’s tasks will be administrative. The teaching positions will be paid positions. Each teacher will have 12-15 students for 8-10 weeks one day per week from 2:45-4:00. These positions are open to teachers or parents. Details to follow about spring registration. To register a child in Spanish Club requires a parent/guardian of that child to help with ONE class per semester. If you are interested, please contact Kim Stotts at kim_stotts@lakewaypto.org (608-0028) or Kim McCarthy at kim_mccarthy@lakewaypto.org (261-7726).
