The PTO - In Case You Didn't Know...

Since we have so many new families this year, we thought this information might be helpful to those of you who are interested in becoming involved with PTO or just wanted to know what we did as a group. So here you go.

• Meetings will be held every month, on the 2nd Wednesday at 8 am in the cafeteria.

• Everyone is welcome and highly encouraged to attend!

• You do not have to stay for the entire meeting. Come and go! They usually last 1 hour.

• Attending gives YOU the opportunity to see how your PTO "No Hassle" Fundraising dollars are being spent.

• The PTO "budget" is made up essentially from what we collect during the "No Hassle" Fundraiser, but funds also come from Fall Carnival and Community donations.

• We discuss and vote on "Wish List" items received from LWE teachers and staff members at these meetings.

• We have great discussion(s) about how to make LWE even more fantastic!

• We hear from Mr. Hicks and a faculty member at each monthly meeting. (Great way to get to know them!)

• Donating any amount to "No Hassle" automatically makes you a LWE PTO Member.

• You do not have to be a PTO Member to attend monthly meetings.

• PTO minutes, (a recap of what was discussed at our meetings) will be posted on our PTO website.
